St Peter’s Lodge No.1330 who meet at the Masonic Hall in Market Harborough have formed a social committee to organise fundraising events in aid of the 2022 Festival. On the 9th February 2019, Mrs Heather Clark and her husband, Bro. Luke Clark helped to organise a Gin & Games night for friends and family of the Lodge, this consisted of tasting a number of hand-picked Gins and eating many kinds of cheeses and cold meats from a wonderful display laid out of all to enjoy.
Fun was also had playing the carnival-themed games that included a Donkey Derby, raced by fellow members of the Lodge to raise extra money for the festival fund.
The Masonic Hall at Market Harborough was the venue for this, the first of a number of social events planned to be held throughout this year. The Gin tasting was attended by 40 brethren, family and friends with concessions for non-drinkers and designated drivers, and of course, children went free of charge!
The next planned event is a bingo night, which is being scheduled for March of this year, with a challenge to beat the fantastic £400 raised by the Gin tasting evening.
Well done & thank you to the Lodge, families & friends for supporting the event and the festival.
